Kyle Schmidt brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the realm of law enforcement training. With over 24 years of dedicated service as a law enforcement officer with the Tempe, AZ, Police Department, Kyle's career showcases diverse roles that have shaped his comprehensive understanding of the field. During his tenure, Kyle spent seven years as a member of the SWAT team, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in high-stakes scenarios. His proficiency extended to digital investigation, where he served as a Computer Forensics Detective, showcasing his adaptability in the ever-evolving landscape of law enforcement. Known for his leadership and instructional prowess, Kyle served as a Recruit Training Officer (RTO) and Field Training Officer (FTO), contributing to developing the next generation of law enforcement professionals. He was an Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) firearms Subject Matter Expert (SME) while rounding out the last 15 years of his career as a full-time agency firearms training officer. Kyle is currently working as a TSG with the Evans Group.
Kyle's passion for honing his skills extends beyond the law enforcement realm into various shooting disciplines. A competitor in USPSA, IDPA, Multi-gun, NRA Bianchi Cup, NRA Bullseye, and NRA PPC, Kyle has not only participated but excelled, earning a World Champion and several National Champion titles throughout his competitive shooting career. His exceptional marksmanship has been recognized with numerous High Law Enforcement Officer awards, underscoring his commitment to excellence in training and competition.
